The Leclaire family have been implanted in the Côte des Blancs since 1878, at Avize, the capital of the Grand Crus of Chardonnay, and make all their champagnes exclusively from this grape variety.
And it is this very lightly dosed Chardonnay that gives their champagnes their refined, elegant and diaphanous quality.

Renowned for its purity and its freshness, it confers a natural elegance on each cuvee that can accompany all occasions.

Cuvée 01 – APOLLINE

Tasting Notes :

An abundance of succulent aromas in this delicately taut champagne, with acidulous aromas reminiscent of grapefruit.
These lovely bright citrus notes are reflected on the palate with notes of orange zest and red fruit, and a refreshing minerality that contributes to its uniquely vivid style.
Its orange-pink hue evokes memories of summer evenings at dusk, the perfect moment to savour this champagne.

Cuvée 03 – CONSTANTIN

Le Grand Cru dE CRAMANT

This cuvee is made from grapes grown on the estate’s oldest parcels, selected with the utmost care to highlight the unique nuances of the terroir of the Cote des Blancs.

Composition :

100 % Chardonnay Grand Cru de Cramant
Dosage: 2gr/l
Vinified in oak vats for 9 months.
Cellar ageing: minimum 5 years

Tasting Notes :

After vinification in oak vats for 9 months, this cuvee reveals superb aromas of fresh fruit and a creamily mineral persistence.
Its toasted notes and full, generous palate are underlined by a lovely fresh minerality.

Its yellow-gold aspect brings to mind lemons from Menton.

Wine & Food Pairings :

A prestige cuvee that will be the star of aperitif accompanied by parmesan shavings or little toasts with white truffles.

Cuvée 04 – MAYEUL

LE PREMIER CRU

Composition :

100% Chardonnay Premier Cru
Dosage: 4gr/l
Cellar ageing: minimum 3 years

Tasting Notes :

The cuvee Mayeul is characterised by its fine effervescence and ripe fruit aromas.
With its notes of preserved citrus fruit, this cuvee is all at once lively and diaphanous, with a delicately refreshing smoothness.
Its honeyed gold colour is complemented by a chain of fine bubbles.

Cuvée 05 –
LE MILLÉSIMÉ

Composition :

100% Chardonnay (Grand Cru d’Avize)
Dosage: 4gr/l
Cellar ageing: minimum 6 years

Tasting Notes :

This vintage champagne with its toasted aromas is the expression of the flawless delicacy of Chardonnay in the best years in Champagne.

Cuvée 05 is a supple, well-structured champagne that draws its finesse and elegance from the celebrated Côte des Blancs.
The brilliance of its golden hue is constellated with fine, soaring bubbles.

Wine & Food Pairings :

This outstanding champagne will reveal all its qualities with poultry and game birds such as pheasant or partridge. It can also be served as an aperitif accompanied by a fine Iberian ham.
